Cork people are invited to a community discussion on tackling the rise of the far right

Feeling powerless about current events?
A public meeting to discuss practical ways communities can respond to the rise of far-right movements is taking place in Cork city this week.
Organised by Cork Communities United as part of the Nighttime CO-OP series hosted by My Goodness, the event will take place at Quay Co-op on Sullivan’s Quay at 7pm on Wednesday, June 24th.
The meeting is being billed as an opportunity for people from across Cork to come together, share ideas and discuss positive actions that can be taken locally and nationally to promote inclusion and community solidarity.

Organisers say the event will focus on practical next steps rather than simply highlighting concerns, with attendees encouraged to contribute their own perspectives and experiences. The discussion is open to anyone interested in community issues, social inclusion and civic engagement, with organisers hoping to welcome a broad range of voices.
With conversations around community cohesion, diversity and social change continuing across Ireland, the event offers Cork people a chance to get involved in a local discussion.
The meeting takes place at Quay Co-op, Sullivan’s Quay, at 7pm on Wednesday, June 24th, and all are welcome to attend.
