Shoppers looking for a last-minute Father’s Day gift will have the chance to meet a local artist and add a personal touch to their cards this weekend on St Patrick’s Street.

Cork artist Laura Fitzharris, known professionally as Laura Fitz Artist, will host a special pop-up event at Brown Thomas Cork on Saturday, June 20th, from 12pm to 4pm.

Taking place on Level 2 of the department store, the event will see Laura offering complimentary personalisation on her Father’s Day cards, allowing customers to create a unique gift ahead of the annual celebration.

Visitors will also have the chance to meet the artist in person, learn more about her creative process and ask questions about her work.

Her own Dad inspires Laura’s latest Father’s Day card:

“He is always there for me when I need him. He has given me a few pep talks and wise words of advice over the years as well as giving me spins, fixing things around the house, building all my market displays and giving me support with all my crazy dreams!

“He taught me all about good music from the start, bought me Ladybird books every week, starting off my love of reading, took us on so many road trips and taught me so many life lessons along the way. He still drops everything to help me whenever I call!

“I think that just this simple message of thanks will mean a lot to all the dads out there.”

The free event is open to all shoppers, with no booking required.
