Take the kids to this free Mad Hatters Tea Party in an historic Cork courtyard
Here’s one for the calendar.
Mums, dads, guardians, grandparents and uncles and aunties can circle Sunday, June 28th on the calendar for some outdoor fun.
The glorious grounds of Doneraile Estate are the atmospheric setting for a free Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Tableau on the day from 2pm to 4pm.
You can bring the whole gang and meet Lewis Carroll’s peculiar characters in a scene where time has quite famously stopped working as part of Art for the Heart Doneraile.
“Riddles with no answers, answers with no questions, and a host who may or may not remember inviting you. Keep an eye out for suspiciously grinning guests and cakes that politely suggest you eat them (it would be rude not to).” say the organisers.
“After all, around here, we’re all a little mad.”
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times and while tickets are free, donations will be gratefully received on the day. Bring a picnic and stay for the day.
