Iconic Cork clothing store Primetime is having a closing party at The Savoy

The venue is the perfect fit.
Washington Street clothes shop Primetime is shutting down after 34 years in business, and they’re going out with a bang.
The doors will close forever on February 28th, with a big closing party at newly reopened Savoy planned for that night, kicking off at 8.30pm.

Primetime owners Louisa Heckett and Niall Hassett made the sad announcement earlier this month, after running the street clothing shop and social hub for more than three decades.
“We feel so lucky to be an integral part of our city’s culture for story for the last 34 years, but unfortunately nothing lasts forever and what a buzz was had.” they said, announcing the closure.
“We have so many things to be thankful for… our staff, wonderful amazing and loyal to the end. The staff have been the back bone of PrimeTime from the start in 1992 all the way to today. More than 300 staff members over the years, each bringing a special piece of magic to this place.”
The Closing Party invites fans (over 18s only) to join the team and celebrate a movement that “shaped looks, launched trends and defined generations.”
Tickets are on sale now, €11.64 over here.
