Still Smiling at 13: Ted the Terrier is looking for his forever couch

At 12 or thirteen years old, Ted has every excuse to be slowing down.
But no one seems to have told him that. The handsome Parsons terrier is currently looking for a new home with the assistance of his kindly friends at Cork DAWG, and despite a few life changes along the way, he remains a bright, cheery little soul with a tail that clearly hasn’t got the memo about retirement either.
Ted recently had most of his teeth removed, a procedure that might knock the wind out of many dogs. Instead, it’s given him a whole new lease of life. Free from the pain of rotten teeth, he’s flying it — enjoying his food, loving his walks, and greeting the world with fresh enthusiasm.
Add in a smart new groom and you’d be forgiven for thinking he’s taken a few years off his age.

He does have a touch of arthritis, as many seniors do, but he’s comfortably managed on turmeric and it’s already making a noticeable difference. Ted still adores getting out and about and is particularly fond of meeting other dogs.
Ted is also deaf, but it hasn’t dampened his spirits in the slightest.
Described by the DAWG team as a happy, curious boy with not a bad bone in his body, Ted has the kind of temperament that makes you wonder how he hasn’t already found his forever home.
Fully housetrained and neutered, Ted is now hoping for what he deserves most: a warm, loving place to settle down, with a cosy couch to call his own and someone to share his golden years with. In return, he promises loyalty, companionship and the gentle gratitude that only a senior dog can give.
For anyone considering adoption, Ted is a reminder that older dogs still have so much love to offer — and sometimes, they’re the ones who need it most.
