This Cork carvery is *the* spot to go for a ‘ridiculously big’ Sunday dinner

It’s “one of the best” he’s ever had.
A popular food reviewer was well impressed with a visit to a Cork carvery after local fans urged him to give it a bash, recommending it to his 40,000 social media followers.
Paul, aka @paul_isitworthit, who calls himself Ireland’s most honest food reviewer, headed out to Murphy’s Rock Bar one Sunday to investigate their €19 carvery… and he was quite pleased with what he found.
Paul and his camera man were served two weighty plates stacked with ham and roasted veggies with all the trimmings and lashings of gravy.
While the reviewer was well impressed with most of the items on his plate, he didn’t fancy the mash, which he described as lumpy, and also mentioned that the veggies were a little cold for his liking.

Overall he scored it 7.7 out of ten.
Cork carvery fans were quick to list some alternatives for Paul to try next time he’s on the hunt for the best carvery in Cork.
Hot tips include Kelly’s Restaurant on Oliver Plunkett Street, The Barn in Glanmire, The Elm Tree in Glounthaune, The Ovens Bar in Ovens (the carvery there comes with chips too, FYI), and The Beer Garden in Turner’s Cross.
