‘End of an Era’: Sad news as popular Kinsale restaurant closes after 10 years

By Katie Mythen-Lynch October 26, 2025October 26, 2025

The Supper Club has completed its final service.

The owners of the popular Kinsale restaurant, Tom and Gráinne Kay, have announced that tonight’s dinner guests were the last.

“Tonight marks the end of an era for The Supper Club in Kinsale.” the couple told Yay Cork.

“After ten incredible seasons, being listed among Ireland’s Top 100 Restaurants, moving locations, and navigating all the ups and downs — including the challenges of COVID — the restaurant is closing its doors for now.

“It’s been an emotional journey and we truly couldn’t have done any of it without the support of our community, our wonderful guests, and our fantastic team.”

The couple thanked their friends, visitors from afar, suppliers, and their staff past and present for keeping the show on the road for a decade.

“To our team: you’ve been the heart and soul of The Supper Club. Your hard work, dedication, and passion made everything possible, and we are so grateful for everything you’ve done,” they added.

New chapter coming soon…

While this chapter closes, it’s not goodbye. Plans are already underway for a new venture opening soon in the same location, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.

For guests with upcoming bookings, the restaurant team is in the process of contacting everyone directly. Those holding Supper Club vouchers are welcome to request a refund or retain them for use in the upcoming new venture.

“The Supper Club has been such a special part of Kinsale’s food scene, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back again soon — in a new and exciting way.” added Tom and Gráinne.

Watch this space for news on the next chapter.
