Now you can take your dog to a Cork cinema screening of Lady and the Tramp

Bored of your usual doggy dates?
If the old ‘catch the stick’ routine is getting a little stale for both of you, Cork Film Festival is introducing a unique new treat for human movie lovers and their canine companions.
For one day only, The Everyman is hosting a dog-friendly screening of their Family Gala: Lady and The Tramp.
On Sunday, November 9th at 11am, the MacCurtain Street theatre will allow dogs (one per customer) to grab a seat downstairs and watch the beloved Disney classic.
In case you can’t remember the story, in 1909, in a small town, Jim Dear gives his wife Darling a cocker spaniel puppy as a Christmas present. The puppy, named Lady, grows up pampered by her doting owners and befriends her neighbours’ dogs, Jock (a Scottie) and Trusty (an elderly Bloodhound).
Meanwhile, across town, a stray terrier-mix named Tramp spends his days wandering the streets, feeding on scraps and handouts, and causing trouble for the local dogcatcher.
Tickets are €12 for children and €14 for adults over here.
