Just BYOB (Book) for the autumn instalment of the Silent Book Club

Finally, a book club where nobody expects you to make small talk.
Yes, you heard that right. It’s like happy hour… but for people who want to read in peace while still being around other humans who are also quietly enjoying their own company.
The Silent Book Club, a global movement catering to introverts everywhere (yes, it really is a thing), is making a return to West Cork this month, following a sell-out launch over the summer. If you’ve ever wanted a book club without the awkward chatter, this is your moment.
The next meet-up happens Sunday, October 12th, at the picturesque Camus Farm in Ardfield, Clonakilty — from 3pm to 5pm. It’s strictly 18+ and strictly no forced small talk.

Think: snacks, fresh air, and a blissful hour or two of collective, intentional quiet. It’s wholesome. It’s a little romantic. It’s extremely your vibe.
If reading alone together becomes your new favourite thing, future sessions are already lined up. Global chapters have popped up everywhere from Paris to Tokyo, but one of the prettiest spots might be right on your doorstep.
