Need a night off? This dinner and cocktails package is a dreamy autumn escape

By Yay Cork August 30, 2025August 29, 2025

Brought to you by The Imperial Hotel.

It’s been a long, hot summer.

If you’re a parent who’s just survived the chaos of back-to-school season—or simply a human in need of a proper breather—autumn is the perfect excuse to hit pause. The days get shorter, the pace slows, and suddenly a little indulgence feels less like a luxury and more like a necessity.

Enter The Imperial Hotel’s newest package: a staycation that mixes comfort, fine dining, and just the right dash of glamour in the centre of Cork City.

The Package: A Night at The Imperial

Guests at The Imperial Hotel on Cork’s handsome South Mall can unwind with a one-night stay in one of the hotel’s beautifully appointed guestrooms, followed by a three-course dinner for two in the award-winning Helena’s Restaurant.

To add sparkle to the evening, each guest will be treated to a signature cocktail in the stylish new bar, Fitzgerald’s.

The next morning begins on a high note with a freshly prepared breakfast back at Helena’s. Afterwards you could book a spa treatment or set out for a morning of shopping or coffee sipping in one of the city’s many popular cafés.

With midweek stays from €300 and weekend stays from €350, for those who want to linger longer, there’s also a two-night version of the package, starting from €500 per stay – perfect for stretching out that well-deserved downtime (or taking advantage of a willing babysitter).

Why now?

As the evenings grow crisper and the golden hues of autumn settle in, there’s no better time to press pause. Cork City is at its charming best in autumn too – you can spend your days strolling historical sights, crunching through the fallen leaves in Fitzgerald’s Park or sipping wine in one of our cosy wine bars and pubs.

A staycation at The Imperial offers guests a chance to reconnect, recharge, and experience a mini getaway without needing passports or long drives.

With exquisite dining, warm hospitality, and timeless charm at the heart of the experience, A Night at The Imperial is more than just a break – it’s a seasonal reset. Get booking now at imperialhotelcork.com.
