A local coffee roasters might have solved bad hotel coffee forever

It’s not always convenient to pack a French press.
But if you yearn for proper coffee while you travel (or you just need a decent brew when you go home to visit your tea-drinking parents at the weekend) one local coffee roasters might just have the solution.
Down in Clonakilty, the Stone Valley Coffee Roasters crew have been hard at work on a clever new product; a speciality coffee sachet you can pop in your pocket and enjoy anywhere there’s a cup and a kettle.
Each €14 box contains eight sachets of their Caturra Catuai Guatemala coffee, which boasts notes of orange, chocolate and almond.

Inside the sachet you’ll find a filter bag that you pop over your cup, then you simply pour in the boiling water for the perfect cuppa.
“Ideal if you’re on the move, in a rush or if you’re going somewhere and you don’t know what the coffee situation will be. No brewing equipment or clean up required!” say the Stone Valley team.
“This coffee from Guatemala is washed so it has a very clean flavour profile with lots of clarity and sweetness. In the cup you can expect a chocolatey orange sweetness followed by a nutty finish.”
Seriously. Put this in every hotel room in Ireland. Order a box for your next getaway (or for your desk at work) over here.
