A spectacular new mural has appeared at Cork Airport

Jetting off on holiday this week?
Whether you’re travelling yourself or collecting and dropping off at Cork Airport, there’s a stunning new mural to welcome you to the busy travel hub this summer.
Completed this week by local artists Peter Martin and Shane O’Driscoll, who spent many a day on a cherry picker in the hot July sun, the beautiful new artwork celebrates the past a future of the airport and looks at the wonder of air travel.

It’s the first mural of Ardú Street Art 2025, which sees the return of an annual project that has given the city some of our most spectacular pieces of public art.
The project is supported by Cork City Council with pain kindly supplied by local company Pat McDonnell Paints.
