The most perfect pink Parisian-inspired café is delighting coffee lovers in Mallow

By Katie Mythen-Lynch March 3, 2025March 3, 2025

Coffee. But make it FABULOUS.

A stunning new coffee spot has opened in Mallow and the vibe will whisk you off on a little dreamy break in as long as it takes you to sip your Americano.

The Garden, newly opened in Parkwest, next to Mallow’s Tesco, is the latest endeavour by coffee-lover, singer and former RTE presenter Morgan Deane.

The blossom pink venue, which was once a dull old internet café, now boasts a mural of an ancient Roman garden, a custom made ivy cruz faux flower wall blooming with peonies and roses, and tables topped with busts of ancient Roman gods.

Plato sits stoically between the barista and the customers at the till.

Twinkling cherry blossom trees cover the four walls and inside they’re brewing Cork Coffee Roasters coffee and serving a range of pretty treats and cakes to go with it.

“I’ve always wanted a coffee shop. I wanted it to be a destination, a place to sit and wonder for 10 minutes before you carry on with your day.” Morgan told Yay Cork.

“I can’t bake. No, I established pretty early on in our plans that it wouldn’t be a cafe. It would be a coffee shop. I would sell coffee and confectionery just like my favourite coffee shops in Cork, Paris and London. I think coffee culture is an amalgamation of great coffee, style, photography and philosophy.

“I knew from the start if I was creating a coffee shop it had to be Instagrammable.”

With International Women’s Day coming up on March 8th, The Garden is hosting a coffee morning event featuring motivational speakers Niamh McDonnell and Sarah Filan, who will be sharing their wisdom as guests enjoy coffee, treats and and goodie bags.
