Actor Richard E Grant is ‘falling in love with Cork’ on his Christmas break

Famous folk love Cork.
And now we may have lured another repeat celebrity guest; actor Richard E. Grant has reported he is ‘falling in love with Cork’ having touched down at Cork Airport for Christmas over the weekend.
The Star Wars, Downton Abbey and Saltburn star is based in London, where he lives in an old Georgian rectory in Richmond, but has decamped to Cork to spend Christmas with close friends.
Yesterday he joined chef Clodagh McKenna and her husband Harry Herbert for a stroll on Shanagarry beach before lunch with Fingal Ferguson of Gubbeen Cheese in West Cork and a few pints of Murphy’s.

The group also enjoyed a supper of potted shrimp, Irish stew with Ballycotton potatoes and orange posset cooked by their friend Rory O’Connell at Ballymaloe.
Last night they rocked up at Levis Corner House in Ballydehob for pints, where both Grant and McKenna could be seen trying their hand at pulling pints behind the bar with Joe O’Leary who runs the iconic Ballydehob venue.
