The Imperial has a number of new Christmas surprises, including a magical Santa Postbox where little ones can send letters directly to the North Pole (and receive a reply from Santa!), and a miniature train display winding around a grand Christmas tree in the stunning foyer.

A reconditioned sleigh takes pride of place in The Imperial Hotel lobby. This sleigh has a charming heritage and was once used at the family owned ‘An Poitin Stil’ pub in Dublin to bring locals for sleigh rides in the area whenever it would snow.

With a fresh coat of paint and festive decór it’s now a delightful attraction for families.

Treat yourself to a chocolate box-themed afternoon tea

The Christmas traditions don’t stop there! This year, you can indulge in a taste of holiday cheer with a sweet tin-inspired afternoon tea filled with classic treats like Quality Street and Cadbury Roses.

Created by talented pastry chefs, the menu includes delights like the Bounty Bauble, Toffee Penny, Strawberry Dream Delight, Gingerbread Scone, and Imperial Tea Cake.

Savoury bites include Slow-Roasted Turkey with Cranberry Relish, Christmas Honey Ham with Balsamic Roasted Cherry Tomato, and Smoked Salmon with Lime Cream Mousse. This festive tea is priced at €49 per person and must be booked in advance so start making that list of fun days out and get this one in the calendar.
