Now you can buy reprints of iconic 90’s Sir Henry’s Weekender posters

Here’s a clever Christmas present idea.
If you know someone who regularly reminisces about the glory days of one of Cork’s most iconic nightclubs, now you can order them a special reminder of their 90’s heydays.
Local digital artist Ian Armstrong has reproduced a series of Sir Henry’s Weekender posters, all of which are now available to order for your walls at home.
“In the mid-90s, the dance scene in Ireland was centred in the legendary Sir Henry’s in Cork City,” Ian says.
“Summer bank holiday weekends became dance festival central with top international DJs visiting Leeside to play to eager dance-crazed sellout crowds.

“The advertising posters became iconic, being designed by Raven Design in Cork.”
You can now order reprints of the original artwork, available here in A3 (420mm x 297mm) size, for €35 each. Ian’s website is also home to a fun collection of prints honouring Cork burger bar Mandy’s, various pubs and an assortment of much-loved Cork cakes.
