This ‘Try Badminton’ taster session is exclusively for LBT+ women and nonbinary folk

Looking for an indoor sport for the chilly months ahead?
Whether you’re the sporty type or you just fancy trying something a little different this autumn, badminton could be a fun shout.
The Racket Rebels, a Cork badminton club for LBTQIA+ women and non-binary people, is welcoming newbies to join them and find out what it’s all about tonight, Tuesday, August 27th at 8pm.
In case you’re unfamiliar, badminton isn’t just a sport; it’s a lifestyle. It’s about the thwack of the shuttlecock, the swoosh of the racket, and the sweet, sweet feeling of victory. It’s also about outwitting your opponent, testing your reflexes, and getting a killer workout all at the same time, no matter your fitness level.
The best bit? Badminton can be played and enjoyed without any experience whatsoever so no need to stress about embarrassing yourself. You don’t even need a racket – just show up and the Racket Rebels will show you the ropes.
“Join us for an introductory badminton session for lesbians, bisexual women, and nonbinary people at James Kenneally Sports Hall, Hollyhill, every Tuesday, 8pm to 10pm.” the group said.
Text Elena on 083 428 8706 to let the group know if you’ll be joining them or reserve a spot here.
