All breeds of dog can join the Great Global Greyhound Walk in a Cork park

Calling all dog lovers, especially those with a soft spot for the greyhound.
The annual Great Global Greyhound Walk is back in beautiful Doneraile Wildlife Park, Cork on Sunday, September 29th, and this year it’s dedicated to the memory of a true dog hero – John O’Mahony.
John, along with his wife Ann, tirelessly dedicated his life to rescuing and rehabilitating countless dogs in need. They were a pillar of support for animal shelters like Cork Dog Action Welfare Group (DAWG), which will receive any donations raised after covering insurance costs.
Here’s the woof on the walk…
The Great Global Greyhound Walk is an annual dog-walking event that brings together greyhounds, lurchers, other sighthounds and their owners to raise awareness of the breeds and show the public just what wonderful pets they make.
On Sunday, September 29th, registration at Doneraile Park starts at 12:30pm, while the walk begins around 1pm. The cost is €5 per family unit with all your hounds (covers insurance) and pre-registration with PayPal is encouraged (supersuzywalsh68@gmail.com)
The theme this year is flags, celebrate your country, greyhound breed, or just embrace the fun, but avoid political messages.
All breeds are welcome: Whether you have a majestic sighthound or a loveable mutt, all furry friends are invited (must be leashed)
