The Boat House coffee shop just announced another (much larger) location

They have a loyal fan base in Coachford.
Now The Boat House coffee shop is opening a second brick-and-mortar location, just up the road in Dripsey.
Owners Kiera and John Buckley have taken over the restaurant at Mc D’s Garden Center, previously known as Griffins. With the larger premises, they plan on expanding their menu beyond what they offer at their Coachford location, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The couple announced they are planning a grand opening event at the new spot, taking over from Perry St, but will be pulling up their popular trailer The Boathouse Buoy to serve coffee and treats there in the meantime.
The inspiration for The Boathouse’s name traces back to Kiera’s childhood days spent watching her grandfather and father craft boats in an old boat house.

“It was always a special place with maps of the lake and the smell of wood was just gorgeous,” she told Yay Cork when the couple opened their first café in 2023.
“I couldn’t think of a more fitting name being so far from home — Fermanagh — but also close to Inniscarra Lake, where we have world-class rowers and international fishing competitions.”
The Boathouse Buoy will be open on bank holiday Monday at Mc D’s from 12pm to 6pm.
