We’re still waiting for the weather to arrive.

But the folks behind a fabulous new installation along Cork shopping district Opera Lane are hoping to add a little summer cheer to our days in the coming months.

Opera Lane is freshly festooned with colourful butterflies and blooming flower balls, with a fun party for the public planned this Friday, July 19th to celebrate.

From noon until 3pm this Friday, shoppers will be treated to entertainment from balloon artists and face painters as well as a selfie mirror, Bridgerton -inspired tunes and lots of top-notch prizes to be won.

“We’re blooming in love with our new summer installation and we’ll be celebrating the arrival of our butterflies onto Opera Lane this coming Friday.” a spokesperson for Opera Lane told Yay Cork.

“So join us on Opera Lane this Friday to capture the magic of summer – whatever the weather.”
