A city pub just unveiled their own ‘Mount Rebelmore’ tribute to Cork sports icons
It’s a fitting background for watching the game.
A Cork pub has unveiled an entire wall mural created as a fun tribute to Cork’s sporting heroes.
The Alibi Bar & Kitchen on Washington Street in Cork City Centre introduced their social media fans to ‘Mount Rebelmore’ this week, with some familiar faces in the mix in place of Mount Rushmore’s 60ft granite US presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
“We’re thrilled to introduce our latest tribute to Cork’s sporting legends: Roy Keane, Sonia O’Sullivan, Christy Ring, and Ronan O’Gara.” a spokesperson for the bar explained on Instagram.
