Holy Smoke’s new BBQ menu is here and it’s truly a thing of beauty

Brace yourselves, carnivores.
Holy Smoke’s new BBQ menu is here and it’s the real deal.
A gloriously messy selection of enormous meaty dishes, the Little Hanover Street (near the Mardyke) restaurant’s new specials are inspired by cuisine from the four corners of the Earth, from smoky, slow-cooked meats to sizzling, flame-kissed delights.
We recommend starting with the Asian style loaded chicken to share (chicken tenders loaded with homemade fresh kimchi and a lime and gochujang mayo).
If you like a hot dog, the Choripan is an elevated take; an Argentinian sandwich with artisan sausage, melted gouda cheese and chimichurri in a sourdough roll.

Hungry guests are well advised to go for the Three Little Piggys; pulled pork, porchetta and Brazilian sausage served with house slaw, gherkins, onions and focaccia with smoked chilli butter.
Then there’s the Drunken Ribs; short ribs, smoked and slow-cooked in Guinness, served with dreamy creamy mash, Guinness gravy and crispy onions or the Birria Tacos, pulled beef with melted cheese in toasted tacos soaked in beef juice, topped with onions and coriander.

If you have room for dessert, there’s The One with All the Cheesecakes, a Friends-inspired baked cheesecake served with strawberry and rhubarb coulis or the Matilda: four layers of dark chocolate cake layered with heavy fudge chocolate filling.
