Heading west? Stop at this Bantry bakery and order the Hot Dog Pizza

Beach bag packed?
If you’re off on your West Cork holibobs this week, now is the time to plan your snack stops on the way down.
A smart stop for a leg stretch and some exceptional goodies to take with you is Bantry, specifically the town’s famous Stuffed Olive bakery and deli run by Sarah O’Shea and Patricia Messom, which has just unveiled a very exciting new lunchtime addition.
Behold the Hot Dog Pizza (pictured above), a mouthwatering freshly baked personal pie involving Clonakilty Sausages, house pickles, American mustard, creamy mozzarella and crispy fried onions.
It’s the nostalgic taste of your childhood summer barbecues, but elevated with the best ingredients and served in pizza form, which never fails to make any dish more magical.
Veggies are also raving about the Cauliflower Steak Pizza Sandwich, with lettuce, pickled onion, blue cheese and ranch dressing.

If the weather allows, you can take a bench outside on the sunny street for an alfresco lunch. Just don’t leave without a hefty bag of cruffins, brownies, cookies and s’mores to fuel your holiday adventures.
The Stuffed Olive is open on Bridge Street, Bantry from Tuesday to Friday 8am – 3.30pm and Saturdays from 8.30am to 3pm.
