You can take a creepy night time walking Ghost Tour through Cork city this week

Here’s a fun alternative to your usual stroll.
History buffs and paranormal enthusiasts alike can join a guided walk that’ll reveal the darker side of Cork this week.
Planned as part of Cork Harbour Festival, Ireland’s largest celebration of maritime culture and heritage, which runs from now until June 10th, the spooky tour starts at Emmett Place, near Cork Opera House.
Expect spine-tingling tales of restless spirits, haunted pubs, and chilling local legends on the tours, which will run on Thursday, June 6th and Friday, June 7th at 7pm. Tickets are €17 for adults and €14 for kids, students and OAPs.

“We aim to fright and delight!” say the organisers.
Expect “hilarious, horrible histories, local tales, ghost stories and hysterical shenanigans” as walkers are guided on a trip through time into old Cork on streets from the 1700s.
Taking in the sights and waking the dead, the interactive, factual and funny tour is an excellent way to explore Cork’s dark and diverse history and it’s ideal for visitors and locals alike.
So, grab your walking shoes, a healthy dose of courage (or maybe a sceptical friend!), and get ready to explore the hidden mysteries of Cork after dark.
