A €1 Book Fair with coffee and cake? Sounds like a perfect afternoon TBH

Bring a hefty bag.
There’s a €1 book fair happening at Watergrasshill Community Centre on Sunday, March 24th and it’s got the makings of a pretty ideal little afternoon jaunt.
Organised by the 118th Cork Watergrasshill Scout Group, the fair is in aid of Cents for Tents, the troops’ fundraiser to help them make it to the 2024 International Jamboree.
As well as oodles of books on all topics (including lots of lovely children’s books) visitors can also enjoy a coffee and some cake at the event, which runs from 12pm until 2pm.
“Taking a large group of teens overseas for a week of hard work, competition, fun and skill-building is not for the faint-hearted! Not least because of the enormous costs involved in purchasing equipment, insurance, flights, transfers, food etc.” said the organisers.
“Any funds raised will be used to offset costs to families to send their youths to the event.”
Sounds like a win/win to us.
