This lovely outdoor garden workshop will teach you how to care for your apple tree

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, right?
And heading outdoors to care for your apple trees in the garden can be a great way of getting some exercise and fresh air as the days start to get longer.
if you’re wondering where to start, or you don’t have a garden and you’d like to find somewhere you can lend a hand, St Luke’s Community Garden is hosting a fun Permaculture Orchard Care workshop with expert gardener and all-round outdoorsman Paul Lynch on February 25th.
“Join us at our very first orchard care workshop!” the organisers posted on Instagram.
“Paul Lynch will be talking us through how to best look after your apple trees and give us a demonstration on how to prune effectively.

“We have many apple trees and one pear tree in the St.Luke’s Community Garden and can’t wait to get stuck in!”
The workshop is open to everyone (suggested donation €5) but do let them know you’ll be joining in by dropping them an email at saintlukescommunitygarden@gmail.com so they can ensure there are enough refreshments for everyone.
