Don’t fancy anything too mushy for Valentine’s?

Chic north Cork venue Ballyvolane House has the perfect solution for those seeking an antithesis to the traditional Valentine’s night out.

Forget about the traditional Valentine’s dinner for two as on February 17^th the country house in Castlelyons — about 30 minutes from the city —  is hosting a long-table extravaganza that is all about coming together, feasting, and socialising.

On arrival at the venue, guests will sip on a classic French 75 cocktail — made with Ballyvolane House’s own Bertha’s Revenge Gin — before sitting down at a long table for a special four-course dinner.

This will be prepared with local produce by house chef Chris Jeffrey. Crooner Ronnie Costley will perform Sinatra and other Rat-Pack era favs during and after dinner.

Tickets for this event are priced at €95 and can be snagged by shooting an email to info@ballyvolanehouse.ie.

And if you’re feeling extra fancy (or perhaps a bit too tipsy to drive) you can book a room for the night here.
