The setting will be epic.

The Pavilion Garden Centre’s Glasshouse Restaurant is pulling out all the stops for an atmospheric Long Table Dinner on Friday, September 29th.

Limited to an intimate gathering of only 50 guests, gathered foodies will enjoy canapés on arrival before a starter of Pressed Ham Hock Terrine, Celeriac and apple Remoulade with Onion Brioche.

A fish course is next, with Roasted Hake, Asian Fried Prawns, Courgette Bhajis, Chilli Lime, Garlic and coriander Butter, before a meat course of Beef Tasting Plate, Braised Ribs and Roasted Striploin, Carrot and Brown Butter Purée, Colcannon Croquette, and Pepper Cream.

If you have room for dessert you can tuck into Vanilla Crème Brulée, Hazelnut and Coffee Shortbread.

Just a stone’s throw away from Cork Airport, the Pavilion is the largest garden centre in Cork and boasts a stunning range of mature and specimen plants.

Pavillion chef David Rice has worked at renowned restaurants including Chapter One in Dublin, where he served as a senior chef and kitchen leader. During his tenure, the restaurant was awarded a coveted Michelin star. He was also the head chef at Mustard Seed Lodge in Adare, Co. Limerick, where he won Best Chef in Limerick at the Restaurant Association of Ireland Awards in 2010.

“Indulge your senses this month in an exquisite culinary journey specially created by the acclaimed Pavilion Chefs, Daniel Glavin and David Rice.” the venue announced on Instagram.

The Pavilion’s Long Table Dinner takes place at The Glasshouse Restaurant on September 29th from 6.30pm to 9pm. Seats are €90 and you can book here.
