The heatwave has officially landed.

With temperatures due to rocket to 27C across Cork this week, we can all agree it’s perfectly acceptable to devour an ice cream for lunch.

And probably breakfast too, TBH.

Whether you prefer a gelato or a good old 99 with a Cadbury’s Flake, the main thing is that you get that frozen sugary goodness into your face as quickly as possible.

Summer doesn’t last forever, you know.

1. Garryvoe Stores

There’s no improving on the classic 99 but this tiny seaside shop is widely recognised as the best place to find the perfect one.
