Tired of doing laps of the local park with your dog?

If your furry friend is ready to sniff out a little adventure and intrigue this summer, a dog behaviour expert is organising just the thing to keep their tail wagging.

Certified Pro Dog Trainer Caroline Schaefer of Dogsercise will host a murder mystery-style Scent Adventure for Dogs in a meadow near Youghal on Saturday, June 25th.

The game is open to all breeds of dogs aged over six months.

“Scent Adventures are great fun and utilise your dog’s most powerful tool: their nose,” says Caroline, who has been working with dogs for over 25 years.

“They get to sniff to their heart’s content, following an invisible trail, finding clues, and getting yummy treats along the way. If you’re looking for something special to do with your dog instead of the usual walk, this is it! Fun and tired dogs guaranteed.”

The duration of this event varies and owners should note that the group will walk on uneven terrain, going off the beaten track at times. All dogs stay on lead for the entire event and no prior scent tracking experience is required.

The Murder Mystery Scent Adventure will run from 2pm until 3.30pm on the day and you can book your place (€25 per team – one dog/up to two owners) here.
