There’s a new pop-up cinema coming to Cork (and they’re showing Harry Potter)

Add this to the list.
A new cinematic experience is coming to Cork, opening over the Easter weekend.
Cork’s 96fm radio presenter Simon Murdoch is behind a new pop-up venture called Scenic Cinema, which plans to host all-time classics and family favourites in quirky and distinctive locations around the city.

To start, Scenic Cinema will screen four Harry Potter movies in the Marina Market from Friday, April 15th to Sunday, April 17th, 2022.
You can watch the Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Order of the Phoenix and the Half-Blood Prince back-to-back over the course of the weekend, popping out for snacks and drinks from the surrounding stalls in between.
The first outdoor screenings have also been confirmed for Cork City Gaol, offering moviegoers the chance to catch a film and spend time in the iconic location.
Details for the City Gaol event will be released in late April. For more info and bookings visit sceniccinema.net.
