Crack Jenny’s Cheezus Burger is truly the stuff of our fried chicken dreams

Here’s one to put on your ‘must eat’ list immediately.
Crack Jenny’s Tavern is now open in the old Larry Tompkins premises on Lavitt’s Quay and if you haven’t dropped by Cork’s newest bar and restaurant yet, their outrageous menu might tempt you to make a booking pronto.
The new spot is run by the talented folks behind Dublin’s trendy Happy Endings… and they’re bringing some of their best dishes to town.
The star of the show is the Cheezus Burger – mission spice buttermilk fried chicken, gochujang cheese sauce, cured streaky bacon and sesame lime slaw.
Seriously, feast your eyes on this thing:

Originally a weekly special on the Happy Endings menu – The Jimmy Burger is another option that’s set to become a firm favourite on Leeside.
This one combines mission spice fried chicken with pineapple and habanero chutney, satay sauce, slaw, mayo and peanuts.

The XO Shroom is looking like it will be a mainstay too; it’s a Panko portobello mushroom, XO shroom, vegan chilli crunch mayo and ginger-lime slaw.
Take our advice and order a portion of the Ramen Poutine Fries – hand cut fries, ramen gravy and cheese curds – to share.

Hit the link in their bio on Instagram to book a table in the maritime-themed bar or rock up to 8 Lavitt’s Quay and hope for the best.
Crack Jenny’s opens from 4pm ’til late from Monday to Friday and 1pm until late on Saturdays and Sundays.
