Litter picking equipment will be provided.

The Environmental Society at University College Cork will be leading a local Neighbourhood Street Clean this Thursday, October 14th, 2021.

Meeting at 5pm, members of the public are invited to join the local residents, students and staff at UCC Community Gardens on College Road (see this Google Map for the exact location) in a joint effort to leave the area looking smart.

The Neighbourhood Street Clean is one of over 50 free events happening as part of University College Cork (UCC) Community Week.

The week-long programme (October 11th-17th) takes place online, across Cork and internationally with a number of keynote talks, tours, exhibitions and demonstrations planned throughout the week.

A singathon with the elderly community in the Aula Maxima, a local gardening workshop, an on-campus tour of the UCC Arboretum and a talk by a spiritual elder are all in the mix.

We have an on-campus tour of the UCC Arboretum happening on Tuesday 12th October from 1-2pm. Still time to sign up but spaces are limited!
