Met Éireann forecasting scorcher of a week with temperatures to hit 25 degrees

Now that’s more like it.
Cork’s defeat to Limerick in yesterday’s All-Ireland Final will take a bit of time to process, but the weather this week should certainly help with the grief.
The warm weather will start from today, with patches of drizzle and mist giving way to sunny spells and temperatures of between 20 and 22 degrees.
Tuesday will be warm and dry again, with temperatures as high as 23 degrees, with even the night remaining dry and clear.
It gets even better from there, with temperatures expected to hit 25 degrees at several points between Wednesday and Friday, with counties like Cork perfectly positioned to soak up the best of it.
Met Éireann’s regional forecast for Munster reads: “Temperatures will reach 22 to 25 degrees most days, widely across the country on Wednesday. On Thursday the highest temperatures will be in the southwest as the winds take on the northerly aspect with a little more cloud in the northeast keeping temperatures at about 20 degrees there.
“On Friday the higher temperatures will be away from east facing coasts as the winds go easterly again, temperatures along the east coast no lower than 20 degrees.”
