Met Éireann forecast suggests temperatures in the 20s all week long

Delightful news on the weather front.
While the government decides whether or not to reopen indoor hospitality, the outdoors remain the only game in town.
Thankfully, Met Éireann’s forecast for the coming week makes for rather pleasing reading, and let’s face it, there’s nothing like a bit of sun. Today will be dry with spells of warm sunshine. Highest temperatures of 19 to 21 degrees generally, but between 16 and 18 degrees in the west with light to moderate northerly breezes.”
Tuesday is set to be a carbon copy of Monday, with Met Éireann writing: ‘Tuesday will be warm and dry with good sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 21 or 22 degrees for many areas, but between 17 and 19 degrees in coastal regions of the west with mostly light northerly breezes.”
Wednesday and Thursday are predicted to continue in the same vein, with the keywords being “warm,” “dry” and “sunshine.” Temperatures in the early twenties (between 20 and 24) will keep the good times rolling.
The rain will make an appearance on Friday, it seems, with Met Éireann forecasting: “Friday will start off dry with sunny spells. Some scattered showers will develop by the afternoon.
“Also, later in the afternoon, rain will develop in the southwest and will gradually spread northeastwards through the evening and night. It will continue warm with highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees and light to moderate southeast breezes.”
Still, four out of five ain’t bad. However, it’s crucial to remember that while you’re outside, both the pollen index and UV index are listed as high to very high — so use protection (suncream and antihistamines).
