Soggy spring weather set to continue into the weekend, says Met Éireann

Low pressure will prevail for the rest of the week.
But while scattered heavy thundery showers and generally cool temperatures are the order of the day, Met Éireann says there will be some sunny spells to enjoy in between.
This morning will be dry in Cork with sunny spells. However, scattered heavy showers will develop through the day, with the risk of hail and spot flooding. Afternoon highs will range from 11 to 15 degrees.
Unsettled weather with ☀️ and showers for the next week or so, with daytime 🌡️ around average for the time of year.

“Scattered showers will continue tonight, heaviest in the south.” said a forecaster. Temperatures will drop to between 2 and 7 degrees overnight too and mist will thicken into fog in parts later.
“Mist and fog will clear Wednesday morning. Like recent days, scattered heavy, possibly thundery showers will develop with the risk of local hail and spot flooding. Some sunny spells too.”
Highest temperatures will range 12 to 16 degrees Celsius tomorrow, with sunny spells and showers continuing into the weekend.
