Here’s the deal with today’s Status Yellow weather warning

Tie down the trampoline.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow – Wind warning for Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway, Mayo, and Clare.
Forecasters are predicting that the strongest gales will begin at around 3pm, continuing until the early hours of Thursday morning.
“Southwest to west winds veering northwest will reach mean speed 50 to 65km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h.” said a Met Éireann forecater.
“The combination of strong winds coupled with high tides brings an increased risk of coastal flooding.”
The weather warning is valid from 3pm today until 1am on Thursday.
A Status Yellow – Gale Warning is also in place, with winds expected to reach gale force 8 at times today, Wednesday, on all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea, “veering west to northwest and reaching strong gale force 9 at times from Mizen Head to Slyne Head to Malin Head” so it’s probably best to avoid the beaches and cliffs for the next 24 hours.
Tomorrow, Thursday will start out cold and dry and sunny with temperatures of between 5 and 7 degrees at best in the afternoon.
Right now the weekend is looking unsettled up to Sunday when we can expect some dry spells.
