Confirmed: A Christmas Market WILL be going ahead at The Marina this year

Here’s some cheerful news on a rainy Wednesday.
Cork’s newest market has confirmed its Christmas event will be going ahead once ‘Level 5’ Covid-19 restrictions are eased at the end of the month.
The Marina Christmas Market will open on December 3rd, operating seven days a week at the Centre Park Road venue until Christmas Eve, December 24th.

Sharing the news on social media, the market organisers promised a variety of stalls and plenty of space for social distancing.
“There will be something for everyone at this market with various food, craft and lifestyle traders and ‘Yule’ be delighted to hear it will be free admission!” they said.

“We have been working very hard behind the scenes over the past weeks to ensure that ‘Christmas at the Marina Market’ can be run safely, Our huge indoor space of 82,000sq.ft. will allow for correct Covid social distancing measures to be in place for both traders and the public in line with Government and HSE guidelines.”
With social occasions few and far between this year, we’re looking forward to a Guji coffee, a Wild Hogs burger and a browse of the stalls.
