Give yourself a DIY hairdo and help keep Cork DAWG open for Christmas

There’s never been a better time to take part.
With hair salons and barbers closed for the time being during Level 5 restrictions, a Cork animal rescue charity is asking supporters to ‘Shave or Dye’ their hair to help them raise money at a time when donations are at an all-time low.
Cork Dog Action Welfare has appealed to the public to join in the charity fundraiser by volunteering to cut their hair, shave their beard or moustache or dye their ‘do a wild colour, then take a photo to share on the Cork DAWG Facebook page.
“Due to the lack of on the ground fundraisers, our accounts are at an all-time low this year.” a spokesperson for DAWG revealed.
“To try and boost some funds we are encouraging any of our supporters to take part in a Shave or Dye for November. We would be so grateful with any help or if you could donate to a friend or family member who has agreed to take part. We will post any before and after pictures. If you want your doggies to photobomb the shoot, all the better!”

Facebook fan John O’Halloran is one of the first to offer up some follicles for DAWG: “Grew my moustache at 18 still have it 38 years later willing to let it go for this cause. Sign me up.” he posted.
Another group of pals are rowing in to take part in memory of their late friend John Sanders, who “had a massive heart and loved dogs.”
Jason Murphy and his team have already raised more than €2,000 of their €5,000 target through their ‘Mo Dawgs for John’ GoFundMe page.
To join John, Jason and DAWG’s many supporters in ‘Shave or Dye’ this month you can set up donations via Facebook or through the official Cork Dog Action Welfare page on iDonate here.
