This Barrack Street café just reopened with a new vintage shop inside

Barrack Street is slowly coming back to life.
With Tom Barry’s open for pints and pizzas and Pigalle taking bookings for dinner and cocktails, it’s not quite business as usual but things are finally picking up.
And now there’s another reason to take a stroll up the hill – one of the neighbourhood coffee spots has reopened with a new vintage and curios shop.
107 Barrack Street first opened last year, offering an eclectic mix of art, books and excellent coffee.

After closing in December, the family-run business is back, this time with two rooms full of vintage clothing, picture frames, art, ornaments, children’s toys and jewellery available to browse and buy while you sip your mocha.
For now, you can pop in for coffee on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8.30am.
You can also enjoy your cortado al fresco in the lovely leafy cottage garden at the back (it’s a real sun trap when the weather’s good), but a perch on one of the seats out front is the best place to watch the world go by.

It makes a nice addition to Cork’s current vintage offering, which includes Mother Jones Flea over on MacCurtain Street, Record and Relics on Washington Street and the Village Hall on St Patrick’s Quay.
107 Barrack Street is dog friendly too so you can bring a canine companion and team a visit with your next weekend walkies.
