Princes Street is hosting a pop-up alfresco dinner party (and it’s all for an excellent cause)

This sounds like the perfect evening.
Cork ARC Cancer Support House, which offers a range of support services to people with cancer and their families, has announced a pop-up outdoor dinner event, set to take place on July 29th on the newly pedestrianised Princes Street.
Guests will be treated to ‘A Taste of Princes Street’, enjoying a delicious tasting menu put together by the expert restaurateurs of the area.
The event will kick off at 6.30pm, when guests will be treated to an exclusive performance of ‘Princes Street’ by legendary Cork songwriter John Spillane, along with more musical entertainment throughout the evening.
The event coincides with the launch of a new fundraising campaign for ARC, whose services moved online during the COVID crisis and are gradually beginning to offer services in person again. The campaign asks the people of Cork to support Cork ARC by supporting their local eateries and restaurants and ‘Eat for ARC’ by making a donation in the restaurant to ARC House.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite at €300 for a table of four people, which includes a generous donation per ticket to Cork ARC Cancer Support House.

“We are delighted to be hosting such an important event on the street. It is an amazing opportunity for us to showcase the wonderful variety of food available while raising badly needed funds for Cork ARC.” said Paul Montgomery of Clancy’s.
“The success of the ‘Eat On The Street’ initiative which we have created here on Princes Street is all down to the spirit of cooperation and innovation between all of the businesses on the street and Cork City Council. We are delighted to be able to give something back to the local charity sector and to the people of Cork for whom this is a vital service.”
