Leave your clothes at the door.

The Warming Wagon mobile sauna is setting up in a magical woodland for a traditional German evening… and the dress code is ‘birthday suit’.

Sauna loving German speakers are invited to join sauna meister Norbert for a unique Freshwater Wellness and Woodland evening at a secret Cork location on Friday, November 29th, 2019.

In Germany, sauna culture dictates that clothing of any kind is strictly verboten so that you get your sweat on unhindered.

The sauna will run from 7pm near a freshwater river and according to organisers, “it will be a traditional natural evening (meaning that, as tradition has it in Germany, Austria, Finland etc. that all you can wear is the towel beneath your bottom).”

Five places have already been booked (send a DM to The Warming Wagon Facebook page to register your interest) and the event is limited to ten in total so hop to it if you want to go along.

Tickets are €50 per person and include vegetarian ‘bratwurst mit sauerkraut’, music and a speciality beer from Munich’s oldest brewery, Augustiner.

In case you’re worried about stripping off, once you’re not bothering anyone, it is completely within the law to be naked in public.
