Fancy a bit of #HumpDay relief?

A delicious dinner of fresh Indian fare and a brilliant documentary could be the perfect way to break up the week.

Hot foot it to Ballymaloe Grainstore on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 for an Indian Evening of Food & Film as part of fEast Cork – a celebration of everything that’s good to eat in Midleton.

Kicking off at 6.30pm, the fun begins with an authentic, flavour-infused North Indian supper served by Arun Kapil of Green Saffron.

Here’s the mouthwatering menu: 

• Tandoori Chicken Masala, Rich Tomato & Fenugreek Glaze
• Jeera’ rice, salt lemon riata
• Vegetarian option: Green Saffron’s ‘Tikki Thali’, smoky jalfrezi lentils, tadha dahl, parsnip & red onion bhaji balls.
• Sides: Plain naan and bitter leaves with a mustard-mayo yoghurt dressing.

At 8pm, everyone will settle down for a screening of The Lunch Box, a movie based on Mumbai’s Dabbawallahs, a community of 5000 dabba (lunchbox) deliverymen.

When Harvard University analysed their delivery system, they concluded that just one in a million lunch boxes is ever delivered to the wrong address. This film is the story of that one lunch box.
