This Cork company will build you a tiny home in six weeks

Tiny homes are trending.
With rent rocketing and Irish house prices putting home ownership out of reach for many, downsizing to a compact, mortgage-free dwelling is looking more appealing than ever.
Now there’s a new tiny house builder in Cork.
JP Simpson, who himself has lived in a tiny home for more than 15 years, thinks smaller smarter homes could be the answer to the current housing crisis.

He’s launching his new business, Big Man Tiny Homes, in response to demand this weekend, July 20th.
“People now want more freedom in their lives, and they don’t want to be tied down to massive debts.” says JP.
“Living big lives in small spaces is one way of making these dreams a reality.”

The typical tiny house is roughly 480sq ft in size and costs between €45,000 and €80,000.
Each one comes complete with a fitted bathroom and kitchen, open plan living room and one or two bedrooms.
These mini houses available to purchase in turn-key condition and they’re quick to build too, taking between six and eight weeks to complete before they are delivered by crane onto your site, where you can add an outdoor terrace or wraparound porch for extra space.

Intrigued? To find out if a tiny home could be your ticket onto the property ladder, visit the Big Man Tiny Homes show house this Saturday and Sunday (July 20th and 21st) from 12-6pm at the Old Head of Kinsale in Cork.
Visitors will be treated to a guided tour of a tiny house, with advice from various experts including an in-house architectural consultant and an engineer.
