6 local shops where you’ll find the best chocolate eggs and treats this Easter

Easter weekend is fast approaching.
And if you’re hoping for an extra special treat from the Easter Bunny this year, the good news is that Cork’s artisan chocolatiers have been busy.
Some of the city’s most talented makers and specialist foodies have prepared and curated a selection of eggs and goodies that would give Willy Wonka a sugar craving.
Whether it’s a beautiful shiny Easter egg wrapped in oodles of cellophane or a tray or delectable truffles for enjoying with wine, we really are spoiled for choice.
Here are six spots to shop:

Where: The English Market, Cork City
The Chocolate Shop has a wide range of Easter-themed treats, including its hero chocolate-filled shell, which can be filled with a selection of milk and dark handmade caramels, toffees, truffles, pralines and more – all chosen by you.
They also have a beautiful Belgian milk chocolate duck with orange beak, as well as rich milk chocolate hedgehogs and bears from Michel Cluizel Chocolatier, in addition to a selection of chocolate Easter eggs filled with either 12 or 20 beautiful milk chocolates that are handmade by Chocolatier Benoit Lorge in Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
