5 exciting NEW reasons to eat, drink and dance at Electric this weekend

Brought to you by Electric.
It’s so close we can almost taste it.
St Patrick’s weekend is almost here, bringing with it the bumper bank holiday we all deserve after a tough two years.
With an extra day off to enjoy (that once-off public holiday is yours for the taking on Friday, March 18th) now is the time to make a proper plan for painting the town green… and this year it’s all happening at Electric.

The swish South Mall spot has had a proper makeover recently and it’s now open for lunch, dinner, cocktails, and dancing, meaning that once you’re in, you never have to face the weather outside again until it’s taxi time.
Here are five more excellent reasons to visit Electric this St Patrick’s Weekend:
1. The new Asian Fusion Menu
If you haven’t sampled the new menus at Electric yet, then Paddy’s weekend is the perfect opportunity. The Bar Food Menu features easy eats such as edamame and chili sea salt, bao buns and Korean fried chicken or oysters with shiso, ginger, lemon and Tobasco to share – ideal for pre-gaming your night out with a cocktail.
If you’re looking forward to a long, luxurious meal, you can keep the dishes coming with a main course Wagyu 6oz beef burger served with Asian slaw and gochujang mayo on a brioche bun, steamed gyoza, hake soba, chicken katsu, or roasted squash, coconut, and chickpea curry.
Either way, don’t miss the Chocolate Baby Cake with yuzu cream or the white miso crème brulee for dessert. An early bird menu is coming soon so keep an eye on electriccork.ie for updates.

2. It’s always cocktail hour
Open Wednesday, March 16th through to Sunday for St Patrick’s Weekend, Electric has a stonking great selection of cocktails to enjoy along with riverside views and good vibes.
There’s a full list available here for your perusal, but our favourite is the Mango Sticky Rice, a liquid version of the classic Thai dessert made with Plantation 3* Rum, coconut, and mango.
If you need a pick-me-up, try the Electric Coffee, a divine blend of Great Earl Single Grain, amaro, coffee liqueur and tonka cream. Zing!
3. Sushi Thursdays
Every Thursday you can order a chef’s selection sushi plate and any two cocktails for €29 – Pornstar Martinis and Vodka Razzas included. The offer is available all day long so it’s a good shout for post-work drinks.

4. The Sunday Special
Looking for a new spot to gather the gang on Sundays? Catch up with family or meet your mates to go over the finer points of last night’s gallivanting over a delicious dinner at Electric.
The Sunday Special runs from 1pm, with three courses or two courses plus a cocktail for a very reasonable €30.

5. It’s not just a restaurant
With DJs three nights a week, Electric is a jumping late-night venue after dark. Keep an eye on social media to find out who’s on the decks.
Electric is also gaining a reputation as a beautiful venue for a wedding ‘Day Two’ meal. Email enquire@electriccork.com to find out how to continue the wedding party on the South Mall.

Electric is open Wednesday, March 16th to Sunday, March 20th, 2022 for the St Patrick’s Day Weekend. To book a table at Electric, visit the website.
