Mother’s Day 2020 is happening on Sunday, March 22nd and one of the best ways to enjoy a little quality time with your mum, granny or gal pals is by booking a slap-up meal to enjoy together.

CUH Charity is hosting an extra-special Mother’s Day Lunch on Sunday, March 22nd at Radisson Blu Hotel, Little Island to raise funds to provide a unique Neonatal Family Sanctum at Cork University Maternity Hospital.
The Sanctum will be a private place in the CUMH garden for parents to take a baby in palliative care, for babies that are born early or babies whose needs are very complex.

2. A seaside surprise at The Blue Haven
If your mum’s a fan of a sea breeze and salty air, plan a stroll in Kinsale and a long lunch at The Blue Haven.

3. Spark some joy at Hayfield Manor
There’s a five-star Mother’s Day celebration in store at Hayfield Manor on Saturday, March 21st, 2020 (1pm-4pm), with a prosecco reception, afternoon tea and a panel of speakers who will be discussing the theme of ‘sparking joy’. Expect natural beauty with Codex entrepreneur Tracey Ryan, Marie Kondo decluttering therapist Vera Keohane and a sustainable fashion show with Sharon Kennedy.
Tickets are €65 here and all proceeds will be donated to Marymount Hospice.
4. Mum’s the word at The Montenotte
The Montenotte Hotel in Cork City has put together a delectable Mother’s Day Menu, which will be served at their Panorama Bistro & Terrace from 12.30pm-3pm on Sunday, March 22nd.
Your guest of honour will receive a complimentary glass of bubbly and a pretty potted plant as a gift to take home. The Mother’s Day Menu (€40 per person for two courses and €45 for three courses) will feature a fabulous choice of local produce. Walk off the indulgence afterwards in the Victorian gardens (the perfect spot for a selfie).

5. Bubbles at the Eccles
If a spin to gorgeous Glengarriff is on the cards, the Eccles Hotel and Spa is serving a special three-course lunch on Sunday, March 22nd.
Mum will receive a glass of prosecco on arrival before sitting down to a delicious Sunday lunch prepared by Head Chef Eddie Attwell. Afterwards, you can explore the Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve or enjoy a walk across the Beara Way. Mother’s Day Lunch at The Eccles Hotel is €25 per person (kids two courses for €10 per person, 1pm – 3pm).
