4 more really great Cork cafés that are finally reopening this weekend

Things are looking up.
As we all get used to the freedom of taking a spin anywhere within the county bounds, more of Cork’s best-loved cafés are getting ready to reopen to make sure you’re fed and watered once you get there – and we’ve never been so grateful.
There’s never been a better time to arrange that post-lockdown, in-person meet-up, just dig out your walking boots, grab a raincoat (just in case) and hit the road for alfresco coffee and an adventure.
Here are four spots that reopen this weekend:
1. OHK Cafe, Kinsale
They’ve been closed for some essential works indoors over the past few weeks, but Kinsale’s OHK Cafe is back open at the hatch and getting ready for a busy summer season.
Drop by on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for Golden Bean coffee and one of their cinnamon croissant twists.

2. Cronin’s, Gougane Barra
Perched on the edge of Gougane Barra Lake, Cronin’s Bar & Café will reopen this Friday, April 16th for takeaway coffee and homemade cake. What better excuse for spin to Macroom and a weekend ramble around the 339 acre forest park.

3. The Workshop, Ballygarvan
The Workshop will reopen for takeaway this Friday from 10am to 4pm.
They’ll also be bringing back their fun Car Park Picnics, so you can pull up, order your favourites from The Workshop menu and tuck in from the safety of your vehicle.
The menu features comfort food favourites such as French toast, bagels with cream cheese, a bacon butty and house-baked scones, luscious hot chocolates as well as a choice of mouthwatering sandwiches, soup, chowder and a hot dish of the day.
