30 local artists are exhibiting in this Cork city park throughout August

It’s a peaceful escape in the centre of town.
Sample-Studios, one of Ireland’s largest artist studios, has opened its annual Members Summer Exhibition in The Lord Mayor’s Pavilion in Fitzgerald’s Park.
The exhibition will remain open from now until September 2nd, 2023, and includes painting, print, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, installation, and textiles, replacing artist Seiko Hayase’s solo exhibition ‘Individual Masses’, which has been in place in the pavilion for the past few weeks.
Work is available to purchase, offering visitors the opportunity to support local artists this summer.

“The quality and variety of the work on display is indicative of the broad range of artistic talent which Sample-Studios supports and the exhibition as a whole demonstrates how collective arts spaces facilitate the cross-pollination of ideas and influences between arts practitioners working in different media.” said artistic director of Sample-Studios, Aoibhie McCarthy.
“I encourage all visitors to Fitzgerald Park and Cork this summer to stop by The Lord Mayor’s Pavilion and take a moment to enjoy the work of our members.”
The Sample-Studios Summer Members Exhibition is now open from Tuesday to Saturday, 11am – 5pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm.
