Beach Day is calling.

Allihies Family Festival is bringing a full day of fun to Ballydonegan Beach this Friday, August 14th – and there’s plenty happening to keep the whole family entertained.

The Beara Barista will be serving up their special Copper Mocktails, alongside The Coffee Cottage and Natalie’s Nom Noms truck, so you definitely won’t go hungry (or thirsty!).

At 1pm, The Pearl Dippers will lead a communal swim and fancy hat competition – so grab your togs and your most ridiculous hat and get involved.

There’s also Yoga & Breakfast on the Beach with Ella Benham, offering a chance to start the festival weekend with a nourishing morning practice by the sea.

The fun begins at 10am and continues until 5pm as part of the Allihies Family Festival.

Sounds like a pretty perfect Friday to us.

If you’re hanging around for a few days, a Craft Fair takes place on Sunday, August  16th up at the Coppermine Lodge.

There’ll be plenty on offer throughout the day, with local crafts, delicious food, live music from The Lucky Lucky Men, children’s entertainment, and a vintage car run.
